Why is Mayanshul Drinking Chocolate different?
Why did you choose not to use cane sugarin this chocolate?
We chose not to use cane sugar because it causes rapid blood sugar spikes that can
interfere with the natural benefits of real cacao. By lightly sweetening with naturally sourced ingredients, we allow better absorption of cacao’s natural antioxidants and its ability to naturally support mood and well-being, honoring cacao, historically known as the drink of the gods.
What do you mean by “naturally sweetened”?
It means we use allulose, stevia, and monk fruit—ingredients that come from fruits and plants. They are not chemically synthesized or lab-created like artificial sweeteners.
Is this chocolate suitable for people with diabetes or low-sugar diets?
Yes. The sweeteners we use do not raise blood glucose or insulin levels, making this
chocolate suitable for people with diabetes or anyone following a low-sugar
lifestyle.
Will it cause bloating or digestive discomfort?
It contains no sugar alcohols, which are often associated with bloating or
digestive discomfort. As a result, it is a gentle and easy-to-digest option for
most people.
How sweet is it compared to regular chocolate or sugar?
Our blend is about eight times sweeter than regular cane sugar, so only a small amount is needed. This results in a balanced sweetness that does not overpower the flavor of real cacao.
What’s the best way to enjoy Mayanshul chocolate?
Enjoy it hot or cold, prepared with water or milk. It also works beautifully in smoothies or creative recipes.
How do I know these sweeteners are safe and not artificial?
The FDA recognizes allulose, high-purity stevia, and monk fruit as safe ingredients
(GRAS) and does not classify them as artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols.
